Kim Kardashian Calls Hillary Clinton ‘Our Next President,’ Snaps Selfie At L.A. Fundraiser
Kim Kardashian’s wish came true on Thursday night when she snapped a
selfie with Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton. The Keeping Up with the Kardashians star attended the Conversation with Hillary
fundraiser in Los Angeles with her husband, Kanye West, and shared the
photo — and her support for Clinton — with 41.8 million Instagram
followers and 34.2 million Twitter followers.
On Thursday afternoon, Kim told her Twitter followers that she would be meeting Hillary Clinton on Thursday night, calling her the nation’s “next President.” Once she arrived at the fundraiser, Kim seized the opportunity and snapped a photo with Hillary, complete with a Kanye photobomb.

Perhaps the photo of Kim, Hillary, and Kanye will be featured in
Kardashian’s next book — one that will hopefully be more successful than
her 352-page book of selfies. According to Radar Online, Kim is the second most popular celebrity on Instagram (BeyoncĂ© is currently in first place), yet her $9.97 book titled “Selfish” has sold only 32,000 copies since its May 5 release.
The $2,700-per-ticket Hillary Clinton fundraiser was held at the home of Justin Bieber’s manager, Scooter Braun, on the same night that the top 10 candidates for the Republican presidential nomination took to the stage for the GOP’s first prime-time debate at the Quicken Loans Arena in Cleveland, Ohio.
Clinton informed her supporters by email that she wouldn’t be watching the GOP debate because the candidates, including Trump, Bush, Walker, and Rubio, “all have the same agenda.” Calling the Republican candidates “out of step with the kind of country Americans want for themselves,” Clinton chose to ignore the debate and enjoyed the star-studded fundraiser instead.
Kim wasn’t the only Kardashian at the Hillary Clinton fundraiser on Thursday night. Her mother, Kris Jenner, also forked over $2,700 for a ticket to the event and didn’t miss the opportunity to get a photo with Clinton, currently the frontrunner in the race to win the 2016 Democratic presidential nomination.
The 59-year-old Kardashian matriarch caption the pic, “An Honor to meet you Hillary Clinton! Great evening… #ohjustchatting.”
Other celebrities who showed up at Thursday night’s fundraiser to support Hillary Clinton’s campaign included Tom Hanks and wife Rita Wilson, Usher, Mary Steenburg, Jessica Alba, and Jeffrey Katzenberg. Missing from the crowd of 250 attendees were Justin Bieber and Ariana Grande, who are both managed by the fundraiser’s host, Scooter Braun.
