The Leader of Iran’s Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei believes a political conspiracy is behind the dramatic fall of oil prices.
Ayatollah Khamenei made the comment in a meeting with Venezuelan president Nicolas Maduro. The Leader says enemies of Iran and Venezuela are definitely playing a role in lowering crude prices. Ayatollah Khamenei welcomed an agreement between Tehran and Caracas to help stabilize oil prices. The Leader also praised Venezuela’s resistance against the US, which he said, has promoted awareness in South America. Ayatollah Khamenei said that is the reason behind Washington’s hostility toward Caracas. Maduro for his part said Iran and Venezuela along with Russia are trying to call an OPEC meeting to restore oil prices to a quote-reasonable level. Earlier, Maduro held high-level talks with Iran’s President Hassan Rouhani.
